This app is amazing!! Type in any tiny phrase and it will match it with the most relevant song!! And if youre listening to your music and you click on the icon then it will automatically pull up the song lyrics! its very nice for someone who hears a lot of music and is unable to find the songs based on a single phrase they hear. This has allowed me to do that and it is very convienant.

Doesnt work on my macbook pro… Every song just goes to AZ lyrics homepage

I dont get it.. Im playing a song and use the app from the menu bar and all it does is take me to a Safari page filled with advertisements but no lyrics at all ! AWFUL !!!

Just purchased and application does not work with OS X 10.9. Application closes as soon as I open. Please update a fix or reimburse me.

I odn’t know why the dev added the trial code to the MAS app in the first place but Instalyrics stopped after today’s update from the MAS because the trial version expired. Don’t update if you still have an older MAS version.

This app used to be the best app to look for any song’s lirycs. I purchased the app and now it tells me I only had the trial version??? REALLY??? I paid for it and now it won’t even let me click on it!!! PLEASE FIX IT!!!!!

After using Instalyrics for a long while, this morning I get a message saying that my trial version is over! Odd. And lame. I respect a person’s right to make money off of their work but you can’t change the rules in the middle of things like that!

Works pretty well most of the time - occasionally I’ll get directed to a wikipedia page or something without lyrics, but nine out of ten times I get an accurate lyrics page. I would really like it to work with Chrome, as it ends up being the only reason I ever open safari, but otherwise I dig it.

Great app, so far no issues. Once and a while I’m directed to the wrong lyrics page if I am listening to something more obscure than usual. I think it would be beneficial to have the option to report a link as wrong, but I can’t complain. I’m happy with it.

I thought this app would display lyrics. It doesn’t. All it does is copy the song/artist info from your music player, open a browser and paste the info into a lyrics search. If I have to have my browser open anyway for this app to work, why can’t I just copy and paste myself? It’s annoying, too, because if I don’t have my browser open, it automatically opens it. Why doesn’t the developer just integrate a mini-browser into this menu bar app? Just scrape the lyrics from a site and present them in plain text; that’s what users want. I already have apps that find lyrics like this one does: it’s called Apple Safari and Google Chrome...

Using sound hound makes more sense. This app is pointless. Nothing in an apple app should be this confusing. It bogs down my mac book pro.
